Vassilis Georgiou
Vassilis Georgiou is President and CEO of PROTASIS SA, a Power Systems Consulting & Engineering Company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical Educational Institute of Chalkida, Greece (1987), a Master’s Degree in Management of Energy Systems from the Open University, UK (2000) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Durham, UK (1996). He is also holding a professional certification in Management of Industrial Systems by REFA, Germany (1997).
His professional career includes Managerial positions in Business Development, Project Management, Strategic Planning and Organizational Development in multinational organizations such as RANK XEROX and 3M and in SBEs in the technological sector. The last twenty years he focuses on the electrical power supply sector being particularly involved with products, services and solutions related to the protection, control, automation and metering in electrical networks. His international experience includes activities in Europe, North Africa and Middle East. He has two daughters, Alexandra (21) and Ifigenia (18).
