Professor John Prousalidis, National Technical University of Athens

J. Prousalidis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1968. He received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and his PHD degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 1991 and 1997, respectively. In 2001, he was appointed Lecturer at the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of NTUA. Currently he is Associate Professor dealing with marine electrical engineering issues including ship electric propulsion, ship electric grids, All Electric Ship and cold ironing. He is the author of 3 books 32 journal papers and 60 conferences papers. He is member of IEEE, IMarEST and the Technical Chamber of Greece. In the last decade he has coordinated a series of research projects in marine electrical engineering e.g. MARINELIVE, DEFKALION-THALIS, DC-Ship etc, while he is the leader of NTUA team in the ELEMED project.
