Dr Stefanos Dallas
Senior Researcher, National Technical University of Athens

Dr. Stefanos E. Dallas received his PhD. Degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computers Technology of Patras University Polytechnic School in 2012 and his BSc. in Physics from the University of Athens. From 2012 he is a Lecturer in the School of Electrical Engineering of the Technical Educational Institute of Western Greece (Department of Electric Drive Systems and Applications). Additionally, from 2012 he works as a post-doc researcher at the S-Naval AME of NTUA, by participating in 4 research projects (MARINELIVE, THALIS-DEFKALION, DC-SHIP, ELEMED) dealing with marine electrical engineering issues. He has published 2 papers in peer reviewed journals and 14 papers published in the proceedings of International conferences. His main research field lies in design and analysis of shipboard electrical systems and investigation of related power quality issues, analysis on onboard power management systems, system analysis for connecting a ship to a shore-side power supply in port (either AC or DC) with the ship's machinery (Cold-Ironing).
